We give a voice to those who have experienced bullying.

True stories serve as peer support for children and young people who are experiencing bullying but do not dare to speak out or do not receive help. Through peer support, a child or young person understands that they are not alone in their thoughts and feelings.

Our goal is to raise awareness on this topic and to cultivate empathy in children and young people by showing them the impact of bullying.

The time for silence is over — now is the time for action.

Bullying no longer stays confined to schools because it continues online around the clock through social media and messaging. It’s no wonder that the well-being of children and young people is declining.

The scars left by bullying stay with us for a long time, and we carry these wounds with us into adulthood.

Our Children -art produces true stories about the scars left by bullying.

For each person’s story involved in the project, Artist Minna Pietarinen paints and writes poems, and these stories are published as part of the overall project. This will result in a peer-support exhibition that, after the opening, will travel to schools and municipalities across Finland using canvas copies.

Children and young people will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition and explore the stories, for example, under the guidance of a teacher. In addition, various materials and workshops designed for schools will be available to support the exhibition’s works and stories.
